Adding Users to Orgs

There are many ways to add users to your organization with Orion.

There are also a few ways to invite users to collaborate with your members without joining your Orion organization. We call these users “active guests.”

Active guests can communicate with other members of the group they were invited to, but otherwise, have limited permissions to the Orion platform.

If you want active guests to access the full Orion experience, you can invite them to your organization from the Orion Command Center homepage. Just click “Add to Org” next to the user you want to add.

This sends the user an email with a link to join your organization.

Note: currently there are two cases where clicking “Add to Org” will show an error and an invite will not be sent to the user.

  1. User is a member of another organization, they cannot be added to your organization using the same email address. We recommend providing or asking the user for an alternative email and inviting the user via the Users page in Orion Command Center.
  2. User does not have an email address associated with their account. We recommend providing or asking the user for an email address to use with their account and inviting them via the Users page in Orion Command Center.
