How much data and bandwidth does the Orion app use?

The average size of an Orion message is about 16KB, around the same size as a text-only email. For an average 8-hour workday, data usage for transmissions can vary but generally, it averages around 5-20 megabytes a day.

We recommend LTE or strong WiFi connectivity in order to receive real-time communication, however, the Orion platform has been designed to adapt and deliver transmissions over diverse cell connections as slow as 3G speeds.
